Kings Don Pink for Cancer Awareness Tonight

Special pink jerseys will be auctioned off following Mediacom Cancer Awareness Night

Clinton, IA – The Clinton LumberKings will keep a three-year tradition alive with the third-annual Cancer Awareness Night, sponsored by Mediacom.  After wearing pink hats in 2008 and light blue jerseys in 2009, the LumberKings will don special pink jerseys for tonight’s 6:30 PM game against the Kane County Cougars.

Select jerseys will be on the silent auction block during the game.  Fans can head to the concourse and put down their bids.  The winners will be announced before the conclusion of the game.  The remaining jerseys will be available for online auction later next week.

All proceeds raised from the auction will go to the American Cancer Society.

The LumberKings (21-20) take on Kane County (20-22) tonight at 6:30 PM.  Left-hander Jon Hesketh (2-3, 6.82) makes his eighth start of the season.  Following the game, stick around for Post-Game Fireworks presented by Jewel-Osco and WQAD-TV.  Listen to the game on AM 1390 KCLN in Clinton or live on the web at
