Kings in Spring (March 30)
A Mauro Gomez (’07) sighting! The former LumberKings’ first-baseman, now with the Atlanta Braves, hit a 2-run, walk-off home run in the 10th inning off Minnesota Twins reliever Matt Capps in a 4-2 victory at Turner Field yesterday. Check out the article and view the video here:

That’s Gomez’s only hit in two at-bats this Spring for the Braves. He’ll be headed for an affiliate somewhere near the top of the organization, but what a moment for the man who hit 21 bombs for Mike Miccuci’s ’07 Kings.
