Today’s Interview: Stefen Romero
The LumberKings split last night’s doubleheader in Wisconsin after falling 5-0 in game one. Stefen Romero powered the offense with a 2-for-4 performance including his second home run in the last three games and a career-high three RBI. That was more than enough to back right-hander Forrest Snow, who bounced back from his eight-run debacle at Kane County to toss his first career complete game. Snow earned his first professional win with a run on five hits over 7.0 innings, and the Kings won, 6-1.
Highlights from Game 2:
I’ve already chatted with Snow about a six-inning no-hit bid this season, so it’s time to talk with Romero for the first time. Seattle’s 12th round pick out of Oregon State University has had a somewhat long road to his first professional season, having missed last year with right elbow issues. He’s back to 100% now and is swinging the bat well in the middle of the Clinton order.
