Beavan Wins Debut

Much like he won his first career game with the LumberKings back in late April of 2008, right-hander Blake Beavan made his Major League debut memorable with a win over the San Diego Padres yesterday. Beavan limited the Friars to just a run (coming on a Will Venable double) on three hits over 7.0 innings, walked two and struck out four as the Mariners won, 3-1.
