Wednesday Notes (8/10)
The LumberKings are back at home for a mini three-game series against Cedar Rapids starting tonight. Clinton wrapped up the eight-game road trip at 4-4 after a difficult loss to the Burlington Bees in 10 innings. John Hicks drove in a career-high three runs and Mickey Wiswall added an RBI double as the Kings took 3-0 and 4-3 leads, but the Bees tied the game on a solo home run from Josh Whitaker in the sixth inning and won it in the 10th on a walk-off single by Beau Taylor. Lefty Roenis Elias yielded four runs over 5.2 innings in a no-decision, while right-hander Jonathan Arias took the loss, his first since May 7.
