LumberBlog: 49th in '09

49.JPGThe folks over at MLBlogosphere have released their monthly "Latest Leaders" list with a twist.  The rankings this month are in order of pageviews for the entire 2009 season (April 4 through October 4).

Thanks to you, the LumberBlog finished 49th in the "ProBlogs" list for the year.  As far as I can see, this blog finished third amongst Minor League team blogs on the network, trailing only Dan Hoard's blog for the triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox and Scott McCauley's blog for the triple-A Indianapolis Indians.  It's not so bad to be third amongst that trio.

Again, thanks to LumberKings fans across the country and certainly the very internet-savvy Seattle Mariners fanbase for reading all season long.

It really isn't a surprise that the Lumberblog has gained in popularity through the season. I knew in advance that the Mariner web-rats would flock over here since you gave us content each and every day.

Last year during the offseason I had Geoff Baker of the Seattle Times sit in on a little Q&A at my site and asked him if he thought the Mariner fans in general were unique. He answered definately in that we have a huge web-presence manned by a lot of insightful people who know their way around a baseball diamond.

I guess that just means that you are now a member of the vaunted Seattle Mariner blog-o-sphere intelligencia!

Congrats to the Lumberblog. They are representing the Midwest League well. I look forward to visiting Clinton next season on my annual baseball trip. The Lumberkings are the only schedule I'm waiting on to get things finalized. If you have access to the game times next May I would appreciate the help.

We will be announcing the game times officially in the near future. When we do, you can be sure it'll be here and on our website, LumberKings.com.

Big congrats Dave on being 49 and number 3 of all minor league ball. You put in some hard work it has payed off.
Looking forward to next season can't wait to see what the new and improved picnic lounge looks like. But is there any discussion about a big screen t.v. and camera in or about the near future? Once that happens i think that would just about make this ballpark near class lower A perfect.
And "LET'S GO KINGS!"
